Abstract

A series of soluble trinuclear silver(I) complexes containing monocapped and bicapped acetylides, [Ag 3(LL) 3(μ 3η 1-C≡CR)] 2+ and [Ag 3(LL) 3(μ 3η 1-C≡C-C 6H 4-NO 2-p) 2] + [LL=[(C 6H 5) 2P] 2-CH 2 (dppm), [(C 6H 5) 2P] 2N nPr ( nPrPNP)], have been synthesized. The X-ray crystal structures of [Ag 3(μ-dppm) 3(μ 3-η 1-C≡C-C 6H 4-NO 2-p)] 2+ and [Ag 3(μ-dppm) 3(μ 3-η 11-C≡C-C 6H 4-NO 2-p) 2] + have been determined. © 1997 American Chemical Society.
