AbstractBACKGROUND: For investigation of undiagnosed exudative pleural effusion, the use of semirigid pleuroscopy is getting more popular among pulmonologists as the technique is similar to that of a flexible bronchoscope. Concerns have been raised for the smaller size biopsy samples obtained by semirigid pleuroscopy when compared with the rigid counterpart.
