AbstractThis paper discusses the problem of computing the maximum available bandwidth of a given path in TDMA-based network with network coding, which is a fundamental issue for supporting QoS with bandwidth requirement in wireless networks. We present a new path bandwidth computation mechanism considering physical-layer network coding. To our best knowledge, our work is the first proposal on assigning time slots with consideration of wireless interference and network coding simultaneously. Our simulation experiments show that our approach produces higher throughput than the existing approach. © 2011 IEEE.
