AbstractWhen dealing with multivariable feedback systems, it is necessary to use a range of indicators in order to assess accurately a range of different aspects of closed-loop system behaviour. Indicators are discussed for stability, performance, robustness, sensitivity and normality. The role of normality in feedback theory is briefly discussed, and a state-space characterisation of normality is given.
