Abstract | The purpose is to investigate the stability of electricity market. Some characteristics, such as the instantaneously clearing of power market, the cyclic pattern of load demand and discrete biding strategy, are considered in this work. The electricity market is thus described as a nonlinear, nonautonomous, periodic difference system. To obtain the stable conditions of power market, several lemmas that a dynamic difference system has a unique bounded periodic solution are proved, and the ultimate bound can also be estimated with one of these lemmas. Based on the model and lemmas presented, a sufficient condition for the stability of the power market is derived, and the ultimate bound of the price is also estimated. Numerical simulation results validate the proposed models and stability conditions. |
