AbstractA design scheme for simultaneously solving for models and controllers based on a robust performance criterion is proposed. Called the joint design scheme, it has been shown to have robust performance properties. Instead of an iterative scheme, a suboptimal two step scheme is used to jointly solve for a model and a controller.
