AbstractA lot of research works have been done on interdisciplinarity and law. Knowing or not, many legal researchers have already been using interdisciplinary knowledge and skills in their legal research. However, a lot of these works do not have any structured framework to provide a theoretical underpinning for the interactive relationships between law and other disciplines. This presentation will explore whether one needs to have a theoretical framework to conduct a research on interdisciplinarity and law; whether systems theory could be such a theoretical framework; and how the systems theory can enhance one’s understanding on the interactive relationships between law and other disciplines.
