Abstract | INTRODUCTION: The incidence of plasma cell myeloma (PCM) in East Asian population is known to be 3-4 times lower than that in Caucasians. This may be due to genetic or environmental factors. Migrant studies may separate these factors to some extent by determining whether the disease incidence follows the parent or destination prevalence.
