Abstract | The single sensor measurement technique has been proposed as a new and effective integration technique in power electronic systems. By using only one sensor to sense the inductor current, the proposed technique can identify other control variables and system parameters. This principle is extended to taking inductor's magnetic saturation into account. The nonlinear compensation scheme can eliminate the error from the varying inductance, and provide more accurate estimated results than the standard scheme when the inductor gets into the saturation region. The proposed method not only solves a well-known problem brought by the inductor's nonlinear effect, but also makes the single sensor measurement technique more attractive for variable control and parameter monitoring in power electronic systems. |
