Abstract | This paper describes a new method for modelling a power electronic circuits. The power circuit is modelled in a discrete manner as a transmission line which has the characteristics similar to the modelled circuit. The method provides a physical modelling approach which enables the circuit modification due to the switching action to be incorporated into the basic circuit configuration. The discrete models developed give stable solutions even for stiff networks. The algorithm derived is simple and can be easily implemented in digital computers. |
