AbstractThis paper describes the Preisach theory of hysteresis model in a graphical approach. New simple mathematical function which can relate the Preisach diagrams and the B-H limiting loop is developed and presented. With this new function, the Preisach hysteresis model can be implemented easily without the use of any statistical functions. The model is implemented using the Transmission line Modeling (TLM) method and tested in a practical example. Good agreement is obtained from measurements and simulations.
