Abstract | This paper presents an improved method for predicting ventilation flow rates in solar chimneys. The method takes into account the variation of pressure loss coefficient for different flow conditions at the chimney outlet with and without reverse flows. It was shown that the predicted ventilation flow rates are in good agreement with the experimental results available in the literature for both narrow and wide solar chimneys. |
