Objectives
The project aims to investigate the effect of elevated blood homocysteine (Hcy) levels on monocyte binding to aortic endothelium in dietary-induced hyperhomocysteinemic rats as well as the underlying mechanisms. Specifically, efforts will be made to investigate the mechanisms of MCP-1 expression in endothelium and CCR2 expression in peripheral blood moncytes.
