Objectives
To see whether the p53 gene is mutated in Hong Kong female lung cancer patients as found in studies in Japan and other countreis. Lung samples obtained after thoracotomy from patients will be studied to determine the frequency, location, and nature of p53 mutation and compare the types of mutations with those found in Japan and other countries.
