Objectives
To describe the characteristics of patients admitted to the newly established Psychogeriatric Assessment Unit in its first year of service; to identify clinical and social factors which are associated with admission; to identify clinical and social factors which are associated with outcomes after admission to PGAU; to use the available information to build a model to predict outcomes; to make recommendations on the best format and content of records needed to generate information to determine the best admission policy based on the predicted outcome.
