Objectives
To describe the characteristics of the elderly people in Hong Kong; to explore the elderly's health status, health habit, social activities, and health care and social services utilization; to understand the elderly's family and social support network; to evaluate the relationship between old people's health and social activities with their life satisfaction; to assess the impact of the old people's informal support network on their health status and other well-beings; to identify the major determinants for a successful elderly; to recommend effective health and social services to maintain and improve the physical and social conditions of the elderly people in Hong Kong.
