Objectives
To study gastric emptying in all patients undergoing posterior truncal vagotomy with seromyotomy of the anterior lesser curve both pre- and post-operatively; to study and compare gastric emptying in 300 patients who have previously had vagotomy withpyloroplasty, vagotomy with antrectomy or proximal gastric vagotomy; to investigate patients with gastric outlet obstruction symptoms; to study gastric emptying in normal children; and to study gastric emptying in children with gastro-intestinal diseases including duodenal ulceration, previous congenital hypertrophic pyloric stenosis, Hirschsprung's disease etc.
