Objectives
To provide much needed ecological information on the functional aspects of Asian mangrove ecosystems. Such information will help the construction of a model for regional mangrove wetlands. Emphasis will also be placed on the application of basic ecological knowledge to the mangement of these endangered habitats, particularly in areas where natural forests have been altered for aquaculture use.
