Objectives
To determine whether these transcripts may indeed encoded functional proteins or act as antisense RNA. The elaborate mechanisms regulating transcription from this region and the high level of the transcription in NPC tissues described earlier would favour the contention that these transcripts may indeed encode functional proteins. The major effort of this proposal, therefore, aims to confirm this possibility.
