Objectives
In normal children to establish the following: a) normality of femoral anteversion for each age group; b) incidence of anteversion asymmetry between hips of 10 degrees or more and its association with orthopaedic signs and symptoms; c) relation of anteversion to age, sex, stature and its components. In children with Perthes' disease: a) anteversion of affected and opposite hip; b) anteversion asymmetry and its relation to severity of disease. In children with neuromuscular disorder affecting hip joint: a) anteversion and stability of hip joint; b) anteversion and muscle group involvement.
