Transferrin receptor expression and recycling are subject to precise control but the mechnanism has not been fully understood. Since the transferrin receptor expression and recycling are closely linked to cell proliferation and differentiation, we are interested in investigating how various cellular signals particularly those involved in cell proliferation and differentiation, regulate the transferrin receptor expression and display at gene transcription and translation levels as well as by redistribution of surface transferrrin receptor and internal pool.
