Objectives
1 To investigate 3D printing of cell- and growth factor-incorporated tissue engineering scaffolds and 4D printing of shape-morphing scaffolds. 2 In the development of 5D printing in tissue engineering, to design and fabricate, via 5D printing, multilayered biomimicking scaffolds suitable for regenerating body tissues such as gastrointestinal tissue. 3 To characterize and evaluate simple and multilayered complex scaffolds in terms of their structure, physical and mechanical properties and in vitro biological performance and to investigate interplays between cells, growth factors and materials of 5D printed biomimicking scaffolds.
