Objectives
1. Investigate into the effect of poverty on mental health and its potential mechanisms through adverse events, decreased social capital and the feeling of shame; 2. Examine the age and gender differences in the association between poverty and mental health; 3. Examine the association between the deprivation of neighborhood social service on mental health; 4. Evaluate the effects of the social welfare subsidy (Comprehensive Social Security Assistance) on the recipients’ mental health.
