Objectives
1 To use our HMM-based approach for eye movement data analysis to examine the association between eye movements and performance in recognition tasks that have important real-life implications such as face matching and facial expression judgments. 2 To develop a new model that includes perceived image content to better capture what information participants use in recognition tasks. 3 To investigate whether we can train participants to use eye movement strategies that lead to better performances in face recognition. 4 To investigate the modulation of affective state on eye movement patterns and performance in face recognition.
