1. To identify and characterize enzymes that catalyze the addition and removal of histone Kcr and Ksucc marks. 2. To examine the influence of histone Ksucc on the compaction state of chromatin. 3. To elucidate the functional roles of histone Kcr in the regulation of gene expression.
