Objectives
1) To understand how and in what way the approach to civil mediation reform (court-mandated, encouraged, or voluntary) impacts the quality of the resolution process, including judicial efficiency, confidence in courts, and perceptions of justice in East Asian and Western contexts. 2) To identify common and conflicting policies, approaches and principles of civil justice reform in relation to mediation case management and administration. 3) To distil best practices in the form of civil justice reform recommendations.
