Objectives
1) To develop a basic understanding of the surface touch/contamination network in terms of disease transmission by the surface contact route, using both laboratory and analytical models; 2) To carry out a multi-scale field study on the surface touch network in a university campus, which will allow a close examination of the surface network properties and provide data to evaluate the laboratory and analytical models; 3) To develop a basic theory of the surface touch/contamination network and understand the impact of control measures such as surface touching and hand hygiene (related to human behaviour), and surface cleaning and surface disinfection (related to environment hygiene).
