Objectives
1 To elucidate the functional role of NK3R and its associated post-receptor signaling for NKB- and NKBRP-induced SLα secretion, protein production and gene expression in primary culture of grass carp pituitary cells. 2 To establish the role of carp NKBb as a novel antagonist for NK3R expressed in the carp pituitary and unveil the structural determinant in its C-terminal signature motif responsible for this antagonistic effect 3 To examine the role of NK3R expression and functional crosstalk in signal transduction for NK3R and IGF-I receptor in IGF potentiation of SLα expression in carp pituitary cells induced by TAC3 gene products.
