Objectives
1) Conduct a series of tensile coupon tests to determine the material properties of ""Lean Duplex"" stainless steel (EN1.4162), ""Austenitic"" stainless steel (EN1.4301) and ""Titanium"" stainless steel (EN1.4571) at elevated temperatures ranging from 22 to 950 ÂșC; 2) Perform a series of cold-formed stainless steel bolted connection tests at elevated temperatures; 3) Develop a finite element model based on the connection test results; 4) Perform an extensive parametric study of different arrangement of bolts, size of connections, bolt diameter and different temperatures for stainless steel connections; 5) Propose design rules for cold-formed stainless steel bolted connections at elevated temperatures.
