AbstractAnaphylaxis is defined as a potentially fatal, severe and systemic allergic reaction. Similar to Western populations, admissions for anaphylaxis have increased significantly in Hong Kong over the past 10 years and survivors of anaphylaxis are at continued risk of recurrent life-threatening episodes. However, local anaphylaxis studies are lacking and most international guidelines (predominantly evidence-based on Western studies) may not be relevant for our local context. Hong Kong has unique anaphylaxis triggers and epidemiology, with scarce allergy services and resources which need be utilized effectively. This session will focus on the on case management of anaphylaxis patients based on the recent updates and experiences in Hong Kong.
