AbstractIn this talk, I’ll report a state-of-the-art optical spectroscopic investigation on influence of graphene on luminescence of excitons in GaN. In the study, we observe photoluminescence signature of suppression of surface excitons in GaN by graphene. Meanwhile, free exciton luminescence spectra show the spectral evidence of dissociation of free excitons at the interface of graphene/GaN heterostructure, as well as transfer of liberated electrons from the dissociated free excitons over the interface into graphene. Such dynamic processes were recorded by ultrafast time-resolved photoluminescence technique. I’ll present the detailed results and arguments in the talk.
