AbstractThe positioning of the scalp needle stimulation area was explored in this article, and the main results are as follows: 1) There are many scalp needle schools, but the positioning of different scalp needle stimulation areas is much the same. 2) The positioning of scalp needle stimulation area is mainly based on the anatomy and functional location of the nerve center, and is different from the concept of acupoints. 3) Scalp needle stimulation area is not a “point” or a “line”, but a specific area of “face”. 4) The boundary of the scalp needle stimulation area is fuzzy and uncertain, so the stimulation area can only be regarded as a local area corresponding to the projection of the functional area of the cerebral cortex. The author hopes that these results will be useful for the clinical application of scalp acupuncture therapy.
