Dr Socrates 伍永達
Dr Yongda Socrates Wu is currently a Research Assistant Professor at School of Nursing, The University Hong Kong, where he obtained his doctoral degree. His research focuses on tobacco control policies, especially about alternative tobacco product like heated tobacco products and e-cigarettes, which was also the topic of his doctoral study. He has extensive experiences in conducting representative population-based surveys and has published several articles in leading international journals. He has also conducted large-scale randomized controlled trials of novel smoking cessation treatment in communities.
Dr Wu is also interested to apply rigorous causal inference methods to understand the risk factors and impacts of smoking through secondary data analysis. Apart from data from previous studies he involved in, he is also analyzing data from the Thematic Household Survey and Hospital Authority.
