Ivy Lai Chun Chun is a graduate of the University of Hong Kong (HKU). She received Bachelor of Arts, Major in Comparative Literature, and Minors in Linguistics and Philosophy, HKU; Master of Arts in English (Literary Studies) and Master of Arts in InterCultural Studies in CUHK.
She is interested in the study of languages and culture. She had participated in HKU WorldWide Exchange in Auckland University, New Zealand, and HKU Summer Exchange in Peking University, China. She had hosted a University Campus Radio Program, sharing her cross-cultural experiences with university students.
She is dedicated to research and cultural activities in the community. She had published some works in linguistics and literature; and, she had been interviewed by a reporter in the Pearl Report for her outstanding volunteer work in the local Arts and Cultural Scheme. She had been a writer of HKU Newsletter ‘Dialogue’.
She is now an independent scholar as well as a university administrator in HKU. In her free time, she reads and writes, dances and sings, and explores herself more through academic works.
Previously, she was one of the Organizing Committee (OC) Members of the Mentorship scheme of the joint-schools: her alma mater Marymount Secondary School (MSS) and Hong Kong Wah Yan College (WYHK). She was invited by school supervisor of her alma mater Dr E. K. P. Hui to enrol as a Marymount Professional under the Education Chapter of Marymount Professional Networks.
She has more than ten years of administrative experience in HKU. Prior to working as the Knowledge Exchange (KE) Manager of the Faculty of Law for about eight years, she had worked as the Event Coordinator of Centre of Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CETL) for four years. Currently, she is the administrator of the State Key Lab of Liver Research (SKLLR). Due to the impact of the pandemic, she has moved from HKU Law to HKU Medicine to continue with research administration in another well-acclaimed profession to help saving and serving the humanity with the mission of bringing good health to humankind.
