Objectives
SARS-CoV-2 spike protein is present in endothelial cells (ECs) in patients with COVID-19, and in plasma of patients developing long COVID and cardiovascular complications following COVID-vaccination. Our preliminary date suggests that SARS-CoV-2 spike protein activated ECs. Therefore, the present proposal aims to examine the effects of SARS-CoV-2 spike protein on endothelial function.
