Objectives
This study aims to develop a non-invasive embryo development potential testing kit (niEVT) based on the testing of a spent embryo culture medium. We plan to determine the clinical application value of the team's first-generation kit through a multi-center randomized controlled study. In addition, the second-generation kit will use direct capture, ligation, and detection of cell-free DNA (cfDNA) technology to avoid using single-cell amplification technology. We will also develop technology for detecting microRNA (miRNA) and cfDNA methylation in minute volume of spent embryo culture medium and correlate the identified miRNA and the methylation sites with embryo implantation and pregnancy outcomes of the patients. The research is expected to develop a new non-invasive and objective embryo selection method to improve the success rate of assisted reproductive treatment.
