Objectives
1 To study the impact of protective facemasks (PFMs) with different forms and materials on facial thermal load and PFM microenvironment (temperature, humidity, heat flux). 2 To develop a PFM-inclusive man-environment heat exchange model (PFM-MENEX) to assess human thermal comfort under different activities and climate conditions. 3 To develop a city-scale PFM-inclusive heat warning system by coupling PFM-MENEX with the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model.
