Objectives
The main objective is to utilize the CA4-DelNS1 LAIV system to develop bivalent flu vaccines which enhance immunity against influenza and other pathogens. Safety, immunogenicity and protective efficacy of bivalent CA4-DelNS1 vectors will be fully evaluated in mice. We will also use CA4-DelNS1 as a master strain to create DelNS1 flu vaccines for other emerging avian influenza strains. Finally, we will explore and address the possible impact of pre-existing immunity on the efficacy of DelNS1 bivalent vaccines.
