Objectives
For HIV functional cure, Dendritic cells (DCs) play important role on the successful development of therapeutic vaccine and immunotherapy, which have been the research hotspots for achieving sustained HIV suppression. By using the advance approach, taxonomy of DCs in blood have been redefined. This precise classification opens the way for a more accurate view of DCs role in pathologies and provides cues for more specific targeting for therapy. To develop the effective therapeutic vaccine and immunotherapy, it warrants to characterize the lineage and function of newly defined DCs in HIV-infected individuals.
