Objectives
Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) is one of the top lethal cancers in Hong Kong. Effective molecularly targeted therapy against advanced HCC is highly limited. RalA expression is significantly upregulated in HCC tumors, and playing a significant oncogenic role. We aim to uncover the regulatory mechanisms governing RalA dysregulations in terms of expression and activity. Besides, the novel RalA downstream target in the context of HCC will be explored. More importantly, we aim to investigate the therapeutic efficacy of RalA-specific inhibitor in treating HCC using preclinical HCC models.
