Objectives
1) To understand the interaction of mountain flows, sea breezes and urban heat/moisture island circulation (heat domes) in ideal settings. 2) To investigate the development of foehn winds in semi-ideal settings by exploring the gap flows and wind blocking in the complex morphological setting of Hong Kong; 3) To evaluate air conditioning and electric vehicle options as possible mitigation methods.
