Objectives
(a) To demonstrate the presence of EBV infection in inflamed gingival tissues (b) To examine the cell types harboring EBV infection inside the periodontitis tissues. (c) To determine the nature of EBV infection (i.e. latent or lytic infection) of EBV in gingival tissues from periodontitis patients.
