Objectives
1.Establish and characterize 2D lung organoids for more effective viral inoculation. 2.Examine viral growth and virus-host interaction of H5H1/H7N9 virus in 2D lung organoids. 3.Delineate regenerative response of basal cells to H5N1/H7N9 virus in 3D organoids and evaluate whether potentiation of β-catenin/FGFR2b signaling pathway can attenuate cytopathogenicity.
