AbstractDigital modelling of complex biological form has been widely experimented and proven viable. In particular, modelling of a tree form has reached a level of sophistication that people can create entirely their own tree form, as shown in the gaming and movie industry. The question that comes is why such technology is not invested in the field of landscape architecture, which heavily deals with tree and digital modelling. The reason is understandable. The industry is not aware of the benefit this technology has. And even if it does, there is no one providing low cost services at certain usable standard. This thesis investigates the benefits this technology can bring to landscape architecture and conducts trials to testify the arguments.
