AbstractIn nowadays society, people are no far more focusing on the services delivery than in the past as they do understand a good service delivery could be the key to success. Meanwhile, every company’s owners have been seeking a way to further improve their service standard, no matter which industry you are being in, if anyone wants to lead the company to “win” in the markets, you have to move and change; even in the security industry, a so called relatively low social status industry from the view of the general public, it also needs to change along with the social development if you want to differentiate yourself from your competitor, This paper aims to examine the development of security services requirement for a shopping mall and will further investigate the impacts of changed security service requirement on the competitiveness of the shopping mall. The study examined more than 70 stakeholders of shopping malls in Hong Kong for the purposes of identification on the impacts of changed security services requirement on the competitiveness of the shopping mall, the future needs of the shopping mall as well as on the solution of improvement of the overall professional image of security industry.
