AbstractElectrostatic technology has been applied in novel applications such as electrospraying for respiratory delivery and pharmaceutical sterilization. Results from computational models suggest that charges on aerosolized particles may affect deposition in lung airways. This entry provides a review on the research and innovations conducted in this area of growing interest for pharmaceutical systems.
