| Abstract | This presentation will discuss pertinent personal and social-contextual factors influencing Chinese learners’ career and talent development within the framework of the Actiotope Model of Giftedness (Ziegler, 2004). In particular, attention will be directed to gifted learners’ possession of a meaning in life and their connectedness to school, family and peers. Implications for teachers and guidance professionals working with Chinese gifted learners will be highlighted. |
