AbstractThe white emission and blue emission from white organic light emitting devices (WOLED) were studied. Electroluminescence spectra and Commission Internationale De L'Eclairage (CIE) coordinates were measured. The results show efficient white emission from mixing of yellow emission from the Re-complexes, Dmbpy-Re and blue emission from the N,N′-di-1-naphthyl-N,N′-diphenylbenzidine (NPB). It was also found that chromaticity of the white emission can be tuned by adjusting the thickness of Dmbpy-Re-doped CBP layer.
