| Abstract | This paper examines the scope of academic autonomy, arguing that it is not just an individual right but also an institutional right. It then examines the various incidents in HK since 1997 that involve a challenge to academic free, and argues for changes to the governance structure in order to protect and uphold academic freedom. |
