AbstractThe present study aims at investigating into educators’ perceptions of character education in Hong Kong. It will focus mainly into educators’ perceptions towards character education as well as towards themselves as the role of implementation. In order to dig deeper into certain study, it will also explore about factors for effective implementation of character education. Through this study, a qualitative research is conducted in the form of case study of a secondary school of Hong Kong. Five interviews of teaching staff were conducted as the main way of data collection. The result was shown that educators usually perceive character education as important but yet there is much limitations to breakthrough in order to implement it. Factors for effective implementation and implications have also been discussed.
